Health Check-up Precautions - Division, Contents information provision
Division Contents
Rest On the day before your check-up, avoid overworking and get enough sleep.
Dinner On the day before your check-up, have a light dinner around 7 pm and fast after 10 pm(no water, chewing gum, smoking, etc.).
Stool Collect your stool sample on the day before or on the day of your check-up using a spoon attached to the stool container lid and take about 5g (pea sized). (If you are scheduled for colonoscopy, collect your sample before taking laxatives.)
Hypertension Antihypertensive drugs or heart medicine should be taken with minimum amount of water before 6 am on the day of your check-up.
Diabetes If you are taking insulin or oral antidiabetic medications for diabetes, do not take the drug on the day of your check-up.
Anti-coagulants & Aspirins Aspirins (including Astrix) or anticoagulants (blood thinners) can interfere with hemostasis during endoscopic biopsy, so consult your physician regarding withholding the medication.
Questionnaire Please fill out your health questionnaire (medical examination table) carefully as they will be taken into consideration during the check-up procedures as well as in making general diagnosis.
No Driving If you have received procedural sedation endoscopy, refrain from driving for your safety or participating in any important activities on the day of examination.
Parking You can use the hospital’s parking lot free of charge on the days you come in for your check-ups and results.
Reservation Change If you wish to change your reservation, please notify us a week before your original reservation.

Precautions for Female Clients

  • It is recommended to receive check-up 2-3 days after menstruation. Please consult our staff if you are experiencing menstruation at the moment.
  • If you are pregnant, please consult your OB/GYN physician and notify our staff before check-up as there are risks that the fetus may be exposed to radiation.
  • If you are breast-feeding, please notify our staff as your breast examination results may be inaccurate.
